The Emirates First Class experience is genuinely one of a kind. The private suite, in-flight shower, and gourmet menu more than justify the price — though the 2024 champagne list was a slight downgrade from previous years. Crew service was impeccable throughout.
The Club Suite is a massive upgrade from BA's old club world product. Direct aisle access from every seat, a genuinely flat bed, and improved catering. Cabin crew were professional but slightly rushed on the outbound. Still excellent value on points redemption.
You get what you pay for — and for £39 return, the value is undeniable. The seat was cramped but functional, the crew efficient if not warm, and the 2h10m flight was on time. Baggage fees need careful watching or costs escalate fast. Good for short hops if you travel light.
Even in economy, Singapore Airlines sets the bar for long-haul service. The seats are wider than most, the entertainment system is exceptional, and the crew remembered our drink preferences. Meal quality was solid. Only downside was the 13-hour journey — but as comfortable as economy gets.
