Xio Travel Ltd was founded in London with a simple mission: to give travellers a platform where real experiences — not sponsored ads — lead the conversation.
We grew out of frustration with glossy travel media that hid the truth about cramped legroom, poor service, and overpriced lounges. We wanted something honest.
Today, we work with over 120 independent bloggers across the globe, publishing everything from budget airline hacks to first-class suite reviews. Every post is editorial, every review is genuine.
It started with a bad flight and a worse review site.
Our founder booked a flight based on glowing online reviews — only to find a broken seat, cold food, and crew who seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else. The reviews he'd trusted? Written by people who'd been given free tickets in exchange for positive coverage.
That experience sparked a question: where could ordinary travellers go to find reviews they could actually trust?
The answer, at the time, was nowhere. So we built it.
Xio Travel was created to be the platform we wished had existed — a space where real passengers, paying their own money, could share what flying is genuinely like. No free upgrades in exchange for five stars. No airline partnerships influencing what gets published. Just honest voices from real journeys.
We started with a small group of travel bloggers based in and around London. Word spread. More writers joined. Today, our community spans over 80 countries and covers everything from Ryanair to Singapore Airlines First Class — always with the same founding principle at heart: tell the truth.

No airline or hotel pays us for positive coverage. Our editorial policy is strict: if it was bad, we say so.
